16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence
From the 25th November - 10th December we'll be running a range of activities and events around combatting gender based violence. Get involved!
Anti-Spiking
Over the past 3 years we've been involved with night time economy stakeholders to make sure student needs are being listened to around anti-spiking measures.
As part of the 16 days of activism against gender based violence work, we'll be opening a petition for Sheffield City Council to change local licensing policy so night time venues take more responsibility around spiking incidents.
We're excited to say we now stock anti-spiking packs, with bottle toppers & drink covers, you can collect one from the Hubs Help Desk, you just need a student number!
Consent Education
Our 23/24 Womens' Rep, Dot Williams, had a policy unaminously passed through our democratic structures to make consent education mandatory at Hallam. We're currently working with several teams at the University to see how we can do this.
We've designed a mini-module on consent and will be looking for feedback. If you want to test the mini-module and feedback to us, fill in the form below.
The Office for Students has recently released guidance & new registration conditions on sexual harrassment, and we will be working on reviewing our current processes to work with this.
