Create a scrapbook to complete prompts and writing activities inside!
We provide meetings aimed at supporting writers and providing a network for writers to connect and share their work. Receiving feedback on your writing can be difficult to adjust to. In our society we aim to create a space for writers to receive feedback in workshops in a low risk environment. Gain experiencing editing your drafts and networking with creatives in the industry!
*Week 1 begins after the scrapbook making meetup
*No one is expected to workshop if they don't feel comfortable. We know sharing your writing can feel personal and potentially embarrassing, so take as much time as you need to settle in. Our aim is to create a space to build a writer's confidence so they can feel comfortable sharing work they are proud of.
You cannot access the Google Drive or take part in the workshops/meetings unless you have a membership. This is a measure to help protect against plagiarism of our members' work.
We hold meetings every Tuesday where you can choose to write either your own projects or using the prompts of the week, share ideas and stories and get advice off others, or use that time to socialise with the society. We hold workshops every two weeks, and a google drive is accessible to share your work on our Discord where you will also find the submission guidelines (word count etc.). Whether you want to discover unpublished authors at your university, share your work with other writers or simply want a creative space to work on any of your projects without having to worry about a deadline, grab your membership below!
