We care for local children and young people whose lives are just too short, supporting the whole family. We're...

One-off Volunteer at Meadowhall Motorfest event

This opportunity takes place on 01 Jun 2025 Closing date for applications is 18 May.

We're recruiting volunteers to help at our annual Motorfest event, which in previous years has raised more than £30,000 for the hospice! We have lots of different roles on the day which are listed below. You'll get to enjoy free access to the event whilst having a fun day out, be part of a big team of volunteers and gain experience for your CV without making a long term commitment. All whilst having the satisfaction of knowing you are helping to raise vital funds for your local children's hospice!

Once you've signed up we'll send you exact instructions of where to meet us on the day. You'll be provided with guidance and a volunteer agreement to sign ahead of the day. Then just turn up on the day and we'll show you exactly what you'll need to do and answer any questions you have.

It costs around £6.5 million a year to run the Hospice, so we rely on our events volunteers to help raise vital funds so we can continue to be there for families who need us - we hope you'll join #TeamBluebell for the day.

Overview of Project

Bluebell Wood offers care for babies, children and young people in South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire, North Lincolnshire and North Derbyshire with life-limiting conditions. We support hundreds of families, both in our hospice and in family homes. Our support services are wide ranging and bespoke to each family; including overnight care, music therapy, counselling, sibling support groups, home visits and much, much more. It costs around £6.5m to keep our doors open for families across South Yorkshire and beyond. Statutory funding makes up 16% of this amount and the rest is raised through fundraising activity.
