In this role, you will assist your local fundraising team in promoting and taking part in a variety of activities to raise money for Guide Dogs. This role is about raising funds for our services to help people living with a visual impairment, live a life they choose.

“Since volunteering I have discovered that I am actually capable of organising events and remaining calm (most of the time!). I’ve gained both self-confidence and a feeling of satisfaction that I have helped to improve the lives of other people, even if only in a small way.” – Alison, Fundraiser

  • Counting donations.
  • Supporting a group of like-minded people planning events and raising money.

Overview of Project

We provide mobility and freedom to blind and partially sighted people. We also campaign for the rights of people with visual impairment, educate the public about eye care and fund eye disease research. We have been expertly breeding and training guide dogs for more than 75 years, providing many thousands to blind and partially sighted people of all ages and from all walks of life. We also deliver confidence-building rehabilitation services to adults, young people and children - including long cane mobility training and communication and daily living skills.
